One table. Hundreds of seats. King's Hawaiian is serving up a complimentary Thanksgiving celebration at The Bentway on October 8

TORONTO, Oct. 5, 2026 /CNW/ -- This Thanksgiving, hundreds of Canadians will come together for what is set to be Canada's biggest communal Thanksgiving meal. On Thursday, October 8, King's Hawaiian®, known for their irresistible sweet rolls, will transform The Bentway into Canada's Longest Friendsgiving Table — one table spanning the length of a football field, where friends, families, neighbours and new faces can pull up a chair and share a complimentary Thanksgiving meal.

More than just a meal, this King's Hawaiian gathering celebrates the brand's long-standing tradition of bringing people together through food, creating space for new connections, and memorable moments around the table. The celebration reflects the evolving Thanksgiving table, where traditions old and new come together and family can extend beyond relatives to the friends, neighbours and chosen family we gather with.

"Friendsgiving is a celebration of the people around the table and the traditions, stories and memories we share with them. Canada's Longest Friendsgiving Table brings that spirit to life on a much bigger scale, creating one welcoming table where there's always room for one more," said Raouf Moussa, CMO at King's Hawaiian.

From 4–7 p.m., guests will gather at The Bentway for a complimentary Friendsgiving meal, transforming the downtown landmark into one continuous table. Whether arriving with a group of friends or coming on their own, Canadians are invited to take a seat, meet the people around them and celebrate Thanksgiving as one community. The celebration will also feature a special appearance by the iconic Grey Cup trophy, giving guests the chance to get up close and snap a photo with it as part of King's Hawaiian's sponsorship of the CFL.

In the spirit of giving, tickets to Canada's Longest Friendsgiving Table will be complimentary and available on EventBrite on a first-come, first-served basis. Each guest requires their own ticket.

For Canadians celebrating at home, King's Hawaiian rolls are available in Original Hawaiian Sweet and Savoury Butter varieties in 12-pack and 4-pack formats at major retailers across Canada (excluding Quebec). Look for the iconic orange packaging in store and pick up your rolls this Thanksgiving!
